From artwork to storage elements, the range of choices will give you plenty of opportunities to reflect the luxurious and laid-back vineyard lifestyle.

For many homeowners, a key element of vineyard kitchen decor is the addition of wine-themed storage elements. These can be as explicit as actual wine racks or groupings of wine bottles, or it can be more subtle, taking the form of storage options like large jars, bowls or baskets sporting vine and grape designs. Wine bottles themselves can be employed as flower vases or even cooking supply containers for elements like olive oil. Carafes and decanters can be similarly used and displayed.

For a bolder look, consider using small wine barrels as storage elements — cut in half, for example, they can make great fruit baskets. Speaking of fruit, wine grapes themselves can be displayed in baskets to great effect, and vines can be elements of decor as well, especially around window areas — and if you're daunted by the idea of making sure they get enough care and sunlight, there are artificial options that won't complain if you miss a watering.

Artwork is another commonly used decor element in vineyard style kitchens. Pastoral vineyard scenes full of rolling hills and sun-dappled vines are a frequent sight, as are still-life paintings featuring delectable collections of wine, fruit and cheese.

The vineyard lifestyle is as much about sowing and cultivating as it is about sipping and appreciating the final product of those labors. So another element to consider in your vineyard kitchen decor theme is the inclusion of the implements used to plant and harvest grapes. Rakes, shovels, vine stakes and other key tools and fixtures can be hung artistically on walls or propped in corners, adding to the vineyard vibe.

Another area of a vineyard-inspired kitchen that's ripe for decor is the backsplash. Many kitchen designs feature a protective and decorative set of tiles above the kitchen counters and below the cabinets — and in a vineyard style kitchen, this will often take the form of a decorative mosaic design. Vines and grapes or vineyard landscapes may be depicted in the mosaic, or it may simply feature a collection of brightly colored tiles in the purples, greens and yellows that are such familiar sights in a sun-drenched vineyard.
