Based on the popular @ZillowGoneWild Instagram account, HGTV's newest series will feature an array of wacky homes. We have all the details.
There are more wacky houses coming our way. HGTV is expanding its real estate genre with a new property series, Zillow Gone Wild.
More than 1.8 million people follow the @ZillowGoneWild Instagram account and scroll through its collection of zany Zillow real estate. The account is so popular it's inspired a new HGTV show. During eight half-hour episodes and a one-hour season finale, we get to go beyond endlessly looking through standard home listings on social media and step inside the homes themselves. The series is slated to premiere in early 2024.
Each episode of Zillow Gone Wild will showcase three weird, wonderful and wildly quirky for-sale homes as well as the characters who own them. We'll also get the backstories of buyers, sellers and the homes' unique histories, while learning fun and inventive ways to market a unique property. The finale episode will reveal the most over-the-top property.
“Millions of people are obsessed with scrolling through outrageous and over-the-top properties on social media while dreaming about where they would like to live,” says Loren Ruch, head of content, HGTV. “Zillow Gone Wild will take the fascination a step further by giving fans a cheeky glimpse inside the most unusual homes on the market, offering those unexpected ‘wow’ moments that will keep viewers coming back for more.”
