July 1: Renovation Resort Showdown Season 3

A new eight-episode season of the high-stakes reno competition Renovation Resort Showdown premieres on Wednesday, July 1 at 9|8c. Real estate expert and contractor Scott McGillivray (Rock the Block) and builder and home renovation expert Bryan Baeumler (Renovation Island: The Adventure Continues) will challenge four build-and-design teams from across North America to transform a long-neglected lakeside resort in the Kawartha Lakes region of Canada into the ultimate vacation destination. The competitors are: friends Chalon and Liz of Dallas, Texas; sisters Marcy and Melissa of Niagara, Ontario; creative collaborators Tatianna and Thomas of Vancouver, British Columbia; and entrepreneurs and friends Taylor and Mehrdad of Vancouver, British Columbia. The duos will have just eight weeks and a $150,000 budget to create one-of-a-kind vacation homes. Each week, Scott, Bryan and expert guest judges will evaluate the overhauled spaces (based on build quality, functionality and creativity) to determine which team wins the $100,000 cash prize. In the first episode, each team will choose their cabin’s exterior finishes and design outdoor communal spaces on land and in the lake. In a surprise twist, Scott and Bryan reveal that an additional $100,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the weekly challenge champions.

July 20: Ugliest House in America Season 8

Beginning Monday, July 20 at 9|8c, HGTV fans will marvel at even more ugly when Ugliest House in America returns with an expanded format now featuring six one-hour episodes and four hideous houses competing to win in each region of the country. Actress, comedian and home design enthusiast Retta will tour 20 more preposterous properties, sharing her hilarious hot takes on bad designs, cringe-worthy layouts and grossly outdated styles. One house will be crowned the Ugliest House in America by HGTV, and the network will award its owners a showstopping renovation completed by designer Alison Victoria, one of its top stars, during the season finale episode. Retta will discover the worst in the frontier region during the July 20 premiere, including an art deco eyesore boasting padded wallpaper, a rock-roofed house, a desert hillside home filled with tchotchkes and a whimsical woodwork wonder. Each episode of Ugliest House in America will stream the next day on HBO Max.

July 21: Extreme Buyers Club Season 1

Then, premiering Tuesday, July 21 at 9|8c (and streaming on HBO Max starting the next day), charismatic Texas real estate agent Noel Collier will flex her specialty of helping clients with the most wildly unique property requests find their dream homes in the new HGTV series Extreme Buyers Club. During the eight-episode season, she’ll step into buyers' surprising — and sometimes shocking — worlds to experience how they live. Then, she'll scour the market for out-of-the-box listings that fit their unprecedented wish list. Whether it's a recent divorcée seeking acreage for dozens of llamas, a ghost-obsessed couple searching for a haunted home or a professional mermaid needing lots of water, no client will prove too extreme for Noel.
