Husband-and-wife duo Chase and Sarah Morrill set out on their biggest family project yet: transforming a run-down 12-acre estate into the bed and breakfast of their dreams. After purchasing the Waters Run property in Monmouth, Maine, in 2025, Chase, Sarah, their children and the OG Maine Cabin Masters spent nine months renovating the property into a quiet, farm-charm escape. The best part? We get to watch the renovation go down on HGTV: Sarah and Chase star in a new six-episode spinoff, Maine Cabin Masters: All Inn.

Ahead, get to know Chase and Sarah and learn more about what inspired them to become innkeepers.

Get to Know Chase and Sarah

They’ve Been Married for More Than 20 Years

Chase and Sarah have been married for over 20 years. The couple annually honors their love story with nostalgic throwback photos from their relationship. “The life we have built and the love we share are beyond words! Happy anniversary @chasemorrill ♥️,” Sarah captioned an Instagram post featuring photos of their 19th wedding anniversary.

Chase and Sarah Have Four Children

Chase and Sarah have four children: Maggie, Nori, Eva and Fletcher — who are all between the ages of 14 and 19. (Raising four teenagers at once is no small task!) And Chase hopes to one day pass on the family business to his kids. “One thing we have all learned is that we aren't getting any younger, and if we want this to keep going, we need to start sharing our knowledge with younger generations who are interested in working hard, working outdoors, working with their hands and have[ing] fun doing it,” Chase said in an interview with Realtor.com.

Their Restoration Work Is a Family Affair

Chase's love for construction and restoration was inherited from his grandfather, grandmother and father. In an interview with the Northeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association, Chase revealed his grandparents were skilled engineers with a knack for construction — which they passed down to his father and then to him. While working with his family, Chase developed a passion for Maine wood and cabin restoration.

Eventually, he took over Kennebec Property Services from his father and then, in 2017, embarked on Magnolia's Maine Cabin Masters with his sister, brother-in-law and two friends. For each endeavor — and for the subsequent spinoffs, Maine Cabin Masters: Building Italy and, now, Maine Cabin Masters: All Inn — he welcomed his family into the fold.

“My son, Fletcher, is finally at an age where he's ready to swing a hammer, although now it's more nail guns and impact drivers,” Chase told Realtor.com. “It's great working with him and trying to recruit his friends along the way.”

And of their recent Waters Run renovation, Chase says he's thrilled to work with his family. “It’s rewarding,” he said in an interview with TV Insider. “We’re right in the thick of it at the bed and breakfast. It’s great getting the family involved with my kids back from school … My daughter is home from college; [and] like everything else we have done, it is a hundred percent family involvement, which is how we like it to be.”

Chase Is a Master Builder, Carpenter and Contractor

As loyal Maine Cabin Masters viewers know, Chase is the master builder, carpenter and contractor on the show. He’s been in the industry since college, though he harbored a love for the trade long before that. And while he specializes in restoring historic cabins across Maine using hearty materials like raw wood, Waters Run is his first bed and breakfast.

Sarah Doesn’t Have a Background in Construction — But She Shares Chase’s Passion

Sarah is one half of the Maine Cabin Masters: All Inn leading duo, but she's also a registered nurse. She’s been so involved with Chase’s projects throughout their relationship, she garnered a love for the trade as well. After working with him to renovate a stone Italian countryside home for Maine Cabin Masters: Building Italy, she knew it was time to make their long-held dream of owning an inn a reality.

Chase Gets His Inspiration From Family, Friends and His Home State of Maine

“Every day, I am inspired creatively by my family, friends and the beautiful state of Maine,” Chase said in a Q&A on mainecabinmasters.com. “Some of my greatest influences are Bernard Langlais, a wondrous Maine Sculptor; Jim Henson, whose creative, loving creatures helped raise me and countless ‘latchkey kids’; and my father, who passed onto me the idea of wastelessness and showed me how to be a loving husband, father, friend and hard worker.”

Chase and Sarah Love Animals

Beyond their background in construction and renovation, Chase and Sarah share a passion for pets and animals. According to a 2025 Primetimer article, the duo has had two dogs, two cats, two rabbits and a chicken named Henrietta.

Chase Is a Working Man — But Not on Sundays

Given Chase's love of his craft, we'd assume he's working 24/7 — but in reality, he takes Sundays off. “One of the things Chase does is on Sundays [is] he shuts his phone down and shuts work off,” Chase's sister told Realtor.com. “No work phone calls, nothing … It’s a way for Chase to reconnect, be present. I totally respect that … The problems will still be there on Monday.”

Chase Owns and Operates Kennebec Cabin Company With the Rest of the Maine Cabin Masters
