Winter Pastels Are Here to Stay and We Couldn't be Happier
Millennial pink, mint green and lilac, oh my!
Typically, when it comes to decorating, my motto is neutrals above all else. My bedroom is full of gray, black and white with just a few gold and copper accents. Recently, however, I've become totally infatuated with pretty pastel shades, especially the pale pink that has been nicknamed "millennial pink" — and I'm definitely not the only one.
And sure, pastel hues have been a mainstay of spring and summer decorating for years, but it's only recently that they've started cropping up in winter home lines. Similarly, the shades have been winterfied in fashion, too. (It seems like every fashion blogger on Earth has been rocking a pale pink coat this year.) Clearly this means pastels are officially "in" for winter.
It's about time, too. The dreary weather seems to be screaming out for something to lighten it up, and pastels are certainly up for the job. Read on for 10 ways to bring pastels into your own home, and join the ranks of on-trend color lovers.
