Materials Needed
- (36) 1/2" wooden beads
- 3 shades of paint
- painter's tape
- paint brush
- string
- (2) wooden dowels
- ruler
- pencil
- drill + drill bit
- heat-resistant enamel paint
Paint
Tape off half of each wooden bead, wrapping the tape so that it can be used as a stand when drying. Paint the top half of each bead in your various hues of your favorite color. Let dry and remove the tape.
Drill
Measure 1/2 inch from each end of the wooden dowels, and mark each spot. Then mark every inch in between. Drill a hole in each of the marks on both dowels.
String it Up
Tape off the end of the string and thread it through the first hole of one of the dowels. String on six of the wooden beads. Then pull the string up through the same hole on the other wood cylinder and down through the next hole over. Repeat this pattern until all of the beads are strung. Leave extra string on both ends to pull together at the top. Tie into a knot and cut off the excess. Seal with a heat-resistant enamel paint, and start cooking!
