Beth Braden

Bio

Beth has been a contributing writer for Food Network and its sister brands for over five years, creating content for HGTV, Investigation Discovery and TRVL Channel. Beth is also a freelance journalist focused mainly on crime and corruption.

She is a self-taught quilter and dabbles in making and canning jams and jellies. Occasionally, Beth even attempts to decorate a cake with varying degrees of success. She really loves estate sales (mostly to look at the houses), and she loves to get lost in antique malls.

Beth learned all her crafty skills on YouTube, loves to cook; she also loves accent walls, estate sales, quilting, rock climbing, documentaries and impromptu dinner parties. She lives in Knoxville, Tennessee, with her husband, children and five pets.

Experience

Beth is an award-winning journalist with almost 15 years of professional writing experience under her belt with her work appearing on the HGTV, TRVL and ID websites, as well as in local newspapers. She is in the freelance pool for the New York Times, and works as an investigative reporter and researcher for the True Sunlight Podcast, a weekly podcast exposing crime and corruption.

Education

Beth graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a B.S. in Journalism and Electronic Media in 2012.
