- It's ok to have empty space: According to Blakey, "One of the biggest mistakes people make is treating drawers like storage black holes." Don't feel pressured to fill the bathroom drawer to the rim just because you have the space for it. "Empty space is actually helpful because it allows systems to breathe and remain functional long term," Blakey adds.
