Relive the moments that made the last year memorable with this treasured craft. Theme your time capsule around milestones and memories that reflect the spirit of the present. Fill the capsule with items that spark emotions like a thoughtful card, a written note, photos, knick-knacks or treasured gifts. Unveil your time capsule whenever you’re feeling nostalgic.

Materials

  • sealable container
  • keepsake items
  • labels
  • pen
  • paper

Pick a Container

Opt for a sturdy and resealable container. If you’re burying the time capsule in the ground, use a Mason jar or stainless steel container. Choose a box theme, and decorate to your liking.

Fill With Memories

Have fun with this! Write down completed goals, dreams, special events or birthday memories. Save tickets or trinkets from vacations and shows. Polaroid photos make great instant keepsakes. Add descriptions, dates and notes explaining the objects enclosed.
