What You'll Need

(4-6) 6 oz. bottles white wine (we used moscato)
Skittles candies, any flavor
tea towel (for straining)
wine glass
sparkling water or juice of choice (optional)
ice (optional)
fruit for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Separate Skittles candies by flavor. Add 30 candies of the same flavor to a 6-ounce bottle of white wine (or 5 candies for every 1 ounce). The mixture will begin to fizz. Once fizzing has stopped, replace bottle lid and let mixture sit for 1-2 days or until candy is dissolved. You can shake the bottle to speed up the process. Note: If bottles are very full, pour out (or drink!) some of the wine before adding candies.

2. When candies have dissolved there will be a layer of white film at the top of the bottle (Image 1). Using a tea towel, strain wine into a glass to remove film (Image 2). Repeat this process (about 2 times) to ensure final product is film-free.

3. Enjoy Skittles-infused wine straight or make it a cocktail by adding ice and 3 oz. sparkling water or juice of choice, then garnish with fresh fruit.

Tip: Give Skittles-infused wine as colorful party favors! Simply rinse out the wine bottles used for infusing and funnel infused wine back into the bottles. Add your own label or tie with a tag for an extra-special gift!
