Blood Orange Hot Toddy Cocktail Recipe

Swap out the lemon in your standard hot toddy with the sweet raspberry citrus flavor of seasonal blood orange for a delicious variation on the classic cocktail.

Ingredients

1-1/2 cups hot water
1 Tbs. honey
2 Tbs. blood orange juice
1/4 cup bourbon or whiskey
blood orange slices
star anise pods as a garnish

Yield: 2 cocktails

Instructions

Heat water, honey and blood orange juice in a small saucepan over medium heat to a low simmer. Stir in bourbon or whiskey and divide evenly between mugs. Garnish each drink with a blood orange slice and a star anise pod before serving. Enjoy hot.
