Materials Needed:
- tape measure
- fabric-covered drum shade
- scissors
- ribbon in 3 varying widths
- fabric glue
- pencil
Step 1
Measure the shade at its widest point, then cut 6 strips of ribbon in that length (2 strips of each width).
Step 2
Dot glue on the end of the widest ribbon; wrap it around the shade's bottom edge, adding glue dots to the ribbon's underside as you go.
Step 3
Repeat step 2 around the top of the shade.
Step 4
Measure 1" from each ribbon. Make pencil marks around the shade to keep spacing consistent.
Step 5
Glue the next-widest ribbon strips along the pencil marks.
Step 6
Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the thinnest ribbon strips.
