How to Make Cinnamon Sugar Streusel Muffins
These light and fluffy cinnamon sugar muffins will remind you of your favorite doughnut. Add in the sweet streusel topping and it's a cinnamon match made in heaven.
- 2/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tsps. vanilla
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tbs. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Mix butter and sugar until fluffy.
Mix in vanilla, milk and eggs.
In a medium bowl, stir flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg together.
Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until moist.
Fill lined or greased muffin pans two thirds full.
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tsps. cinnamon sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter
Streusel Topping Preparation
Mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt.
Work butter into flour mixture and fingertips until crumbly.
Add streusel to batter in muffin pans before baking.
Bake at 350 degrees for 16-20 minutes.
