Choosing a style for your bathroom vanity sink will likely depend on how you envision it fitting in. Do you want the sink to strictly adhere to the overall design of your bathroom, or would you rather it provide a unique visual statement outside of the bathroom style? For example, there's no hard-and-fast rule that says that a cutting-edge, copper vessel sink can't sit atop a vintage-looking vanity.

There is one thing you'll definitely want to consider before you start your search for a vanity sink, however, and that's whether or not your vanity can accommodate all sink styles, or if it's limited to one or a few. Some vanities have pre-cut sink placements that can only fit a certain size and style of sink—a rectangular or oval drop-in sink, for example—whereas other vanities are more flexible in terms of what they can accommodate. So be sure to do your homework on the vanity before choosing a sink style, and you'll be able to rest assured that your sink and vanity will pair nicely.
