What Are Essential Oils?

Essential oils are fragrant, highly concentrated oils that are extracted directly from many parts of a plant through distillation by steam or water. They're natural, powerful and extremely beneficial to your health.

What Are Some Benefits?

Some of the most commonly used essential oils — peppermint, lavender, frankincense — have incredible benefits when used topically, aromatically, internally or through DIY or store-bought personal care products. These healing plant oils can alleviate pain, soothe sore muscles, relax the body, boost energy, build immunity, improve your mood and much, much more.

Make Your Own Roller Blends in a Snap

You'll need a few basic supplies (listed below) for each scent, plus a carrier oil. Since these roller blends are going to be applied topically to the skin, a carrier oil is often used to dilute the essential oil for a gentler application and to reduce sensitivity. Using a carrier oil does not reduce the effectiveness of the essential oil. It can actually make the aromatherapy more effective!

We used fractionated coconut oil (FCO), but other carrier oils include: jojoba oil, almond oil, pomegranate seed oil and olive oil.
