Dress Up Milk Crates for Adorable Small-Space Storage

The humble milk crate gets a trendy (and budget-friendly!) makeover into a stylish storage solution that you won't want to hide.

Materials and Tools

  • 2 milk crates
  • white spray paint
  • cotton rope, in desired color(s)
  • serving tray, fit to size
  • hot glue gun
  • scissors

Instructions

1: Spray-paint both milk crates white. Let dry.

2: Add a few dots of glue to the bottom of the first milk crate, and begin wrapping the cotten rope around the crate. Continue wrapping the rope, adding glue as necessary. Note: We did a striped effect by switching out the color of the rope halfway through.

3: Repeat step two for the other crate.

4: Fill the crates with blankets, pillows, books and anything else you may need close by.

5: Add a serving tray on top to use as a multifunctional side table.
