What You'll Need:

  • grocery store flowers
  • foraged greenery
  • large basket or container
  • (4-5) small jars
  • shears
  • (1) tbs sugar
  • (1) tbs lemon juice
  • (1) quart water
  • (1) tsp white vinegar
  • mixing spoon
  • chicken wire

Make Plant Food

Mix water, sugar, lemon juice, and white vinegar together.

Add Water

Fill small vases and jars with the plant food water. Place the small containers inside a large basket or other container.

Add Chicken Wire

Add chicken wire to the tops of the small containers to help the flowers stand upright.

Arrange Foraged Flowers

Arrange flowers based on flower type. Cut stems at a 45-degree angle using shears. Remove any foliage at the bottom of the stems to prevent bacteria from growing in the water.

Arrange Grocery Store Flowers

Lastly, add the grocery store flowers. Cut the stems as you did with the greenery. Vary heights, and strive for balance, not symmetry.
