Materials Needed:
- craft felt in assorted shades of green
- embroidery needle
- embroidery thread
- hot glue gun
- ribbon
- large safety pin
- child's hair clip
Cut Felt Into Strips
Cut a 1-inch strip of felt. (For a large shamrock, make the strip 1.5 inches wide.) Then, cut the strip into four equal pieces.

Create Petals
Cut an "m"-shaped notch into each felt piece, about halfway up. Repeat for remaining felt pieces, using first piece as a template.

String Petals Together
Put two stiches into each petal, stringing them all onto embroidery thread. Pull thread tight, cinching the petals together.

Create Shamrock Shape
Tie in a knot and trim excess thread. Then open the petals and pull them into a shamrock shape.

Add Shamrock to Accessories
Using hot glue, affix shamrock to hair clip, safety pin or ribbon.

Wear Your Shamrocks
Wear in your hair (Images 1, 2) or on your shirt (Image 3) to spread St. Patrick's Day cheer!
