Kids' Craft: Wax Paper Rainbow Art
Transform crayon shavings into rainbow art with your kids this St. Patrick's Day.

Materials:
- 10-15 crayons in rainbow colors
- pencil sharpener
- paper plates
- wax paper
- iron
- scissors
- dish cloth or towel
Peel the crayons. Use the sharpener to create shavings of each color crayon. Keep each color on its own paper plate, or mix together shavings in the same color family for more dimension.

Lay a sheet of wax paper on a flat surface. Create a rainbow pattern with the crayon shavings.

Place another sheet of wax paper on top of the shavings. Help your kids iron the two pieces of wax paper together. Note: Use a dish cloth or paper towel under the iron to prevent the wax from melting.

Use scissors to cut out a rainbow shape. Be creative; cut it into an interesting, organic shape.

Display the rainbow art on the window to enhance the beautiful colors of the melted crayons.
