How to Make a Christmas Tree for the Birds

Give the birds something to chirp about this holiday season with an edible outdoor tree they can call their own.

Materials Needed

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 Tbs. corn syrup
  • 1 pack unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 4 cups birdseed
  • twine
  • mini bundt pan
  • popcorn
  • fresh cranberries
  • needle + thread

Mini Wreaths

Mix the flour, water, corn syrup, gelatin and cranberries in a large bowl. Coat your mini Bundt pan in cooking spray, and sprinkle in a few more dried cranberries. Top with the birdseed mix and leave it to dry overnight. Use twine to attach your edible birdseed wreaths to a tree or fence outside.

Classic Garland

Simply string popcorn and fresh cranberries together for a colorful garland that is as tasty for the birds as it is festive for you!
