Remove the back of the frame and any plastic or paper inserts. Cover the entire frame with white chalk paint and set it aside to dry. Next, paint the piece of craft wood with black chalkboard paint. Once the frame is dry, use a sanding block to lightly sand the edges, creating a distressed look.

Cut a piece of ribbon, and loop it around the top edge of the frame. Insert the black piece of craft wood. Reattach the back of the frame to lock the ribbon in place. Tie it into a bow, and finish by writing your guest's name with a chalk marker. You can also use these for gift tags and ornaments for a little extra Christmas fun!
