DIY Kitchen Art How-to: Painted Spoons

Materials Needed:

  • craft's paint in four colors
  • linen fabric
  • deep picture frame or shadow box
  • pencil
  • wooden spoons
  • foam paintbrush
  • scissors
  • spray mount glue
  • double-sided foam mounting tape

Step 1

Line up the spoons on a table and draw a line in the center of each with a pencil. Tape off the part of the spoon you want to leave unpainted, then use a foam brush to paint the other half. Let dry.

Step 2

Remove the backing from a frame, then cut a piece of linen the same size. Attach the linen to the backing using spray mount glue.

Step 3

Attach the spoons to the linen with double-sided foam mounting tape, then replace the backing.
