Christina El Moussa's Tips: Balancing Work, Family and Fitness
Here's how the new mom and HGTV host balances work and play.

Christina El Moussa has been just a little bit busy lately. When she and Tarek aren't renovating multiple houses, running their business or shooting episodes of Flip or Flop, they're caring for new baby Brayden and daughter Taylor. Between it all, Christina still finds time to fit in workouts — she even released her own pregnancy fitness DVD! (I'll admit: I'm a little tired just reading this to-do list!) We asked Christina how she balances it all, plus she shares her favorite anyone-can-do it workouts.
I Heart HGTV: Between family and filming new episodes of Flip or Flop, how do you carve out time for yourself?
Christina El Moussa: Tarek and I have a date night at least once every two weeks. Even if it's just dinner close to home or a movie, we make sure to carve out quality time together. It's important to have alone time together outside of work.

How do you incorporate the whole family into your fitness routine?
My current favorite workout is to push my double stroller to my favorite juice place, which happens to have Taylor's favorite donut/bagel place next door, or the park. It's so heavy and we have really steep hills by my house, so it's definitely a good workout! Sometimes I only have time for a quick 20-minute jog on the treadmill, or half a workout DVD. I just try to get a workout in 4-5 days per week.

Do you have any tips for people who are just starting with a fitness routine? How do you stay motivated?
Just get out and move. Chase your kids at the park, play soccer, go for a walk. Walking is free so there is no excuse not to do it!!

Is there a particular workout you do on days you’re not feeling the whole exercise thing?
I always want to exercise; it's my stress releaser, I'm obsessed. But I don't always have time. And we are so busy with work right now that when I'm not working being with my kids is my priority. That's why I try to walk to the park or a breakfast spot, that way I can get the workout in and still have quality time. And looking at Brayden's adorable face on my walk doesn't hurt either.
