HGTV shopping editors have rigorously tested lots of products — and here are the winners so far in 2022.
The shopping editors at HGTV are experts in lots of products — some are new favorites, some are products we've used for years and some are the products we've rigorously tested in our homes to make sure they're up to our (very high) standards. Since 2020, we've spent hours trying the best products from some of our reader-favorite categories: cleaning, bedding and household necessities like humidifiers.
What makes us so sure we've found the best? The editorial team is consumers just like you are. And when we say we put these products to the test, we mean not only do they have to be great, they have to be worth using once the test is over. We have pets that love to play in the mud, kids that spill their food and grout that needs cleaning. We live in apartments, country homes, city dwellings — in different places like New York, Atlanta and Tennessee. We use these products for days, weeks and years — and have strong opinions on what makes the best of the best. A wildly enthusiastic win for Best Cooling Pillows was this Layla pillow, which is a dream if you're on the market for a pillow that feels like the cool side all night long. It's also customizable and super soft.
This unique sleep mask won first place because it was so comfortable, and the patented design made it a really unique find. It also is slightly weighted, which means it can relieve headaces, too.

A lot of people ask us about the little things that have so many options: have you seen how many essential oil diffusers are on the market today? We did you a solid and tried out a lot of different necessities to make your next purchase an easy win.
