MacKenzie-Childs Is Releasing a Cowgirl-Inspired Collection

Fans of country music, MacKenzie-Childs and cowboy boots, your moment has arrived. The home decor brand best known for hand-painted tableware with a signature checkerboard pattern has teamed up with Grammy Award-winning country musician Lainey Wilson on a new limited-edition collection — and the pieces look adorable and functional to boot.

“This collaboration brings together MacKenzie-Childs’ whimsical world of pattern and color with Wilson’s signature Bell Bottom Country spirit, inviting longtime collectors and new fans alike to celebrate the art of home through individuality and artistry,” the brand says.

What’s in the Lainey Wilson x MacKenzie-Childs collection?

Handcrafted in Aurora, New York, where MacKenzie-Childs is based, the collection takes its inspiration from Lainey’s trademark cowgirl boots, reinterpreting them in the home-decor brand’s distinct style.

The initial launch in this multi-seasonal collaboration features hand-painted ceramic Cowgirl Boot Bud Vases and Cowgirl Boot Dishes, which come in MacKenzie-Childs’ Courtly Check (black and white), Mocha Check (coffee-brown and white) and Rosy Check (pink and white) patterns.

What's the inspiration for this collaboration?

Lainey Wilson is a longtime MacKenzie-Childs collector, as it happens, and the brand has expressed admiration for the musician’s sense of “authenticity, creativity and joy.”

“What makes this collaboration especially meaningful is that it grew from Lainey's genuine love for our brand,” MacKenzie-Childs CEO John Ling says, calling the partnership a “natural extension of our shared appreciation for craftsmanship, individuality and storytelling.”

In collaboration with Wilson, Ling adds, “We’ve created pieces that honor Lainey's signature western spirit while celebrating the artistry that has defined MacKenzie-Childs for more than 30 years.”

Wilson echoes Ling’s sentiment.
