The Best Hanukkah Decorations, Gifts and Accessories for 2023
Decorate and celebrate with gorgeous pieces you'll want to keep for years to come, from modern menorahs to heirloom challah platters.
The Festival of Lights is almost here, and in addition to thoughtful gifts and fun outdoor decorations, we've spotted some seriously stylish Hanukkah decor this year, from modern menorahs to colored menorah candles to a marble dreidel almost too pretty to play with. Whether you're hosting, gifting or decorating for Hanukkah, these are decorations you'll want to hold onto and bring out year after year.
Gorgeous Menorahs
At the heart of Hanukkah is the menorah. It symbolizes a miracle, but it also represents being proud of who you are, even if you're different. This celebration of uniqueness manifests in so many different designs of the nine-branched Hanukkiah, and it's a chance to show off your design aesthetic. After all, these beacons are meant to be on display in a window, so make it a showstopper. We love the modern designs from West Elm this year, made from concrete blends to chic marble, and this bronze menorah from Pottery Barn is simply gorgeous. Meanwhile, if you're looking for more affordable menorahs, there are a handful to choose from at Target and T.J.Maxx. If you're looking for something design-forward, it's worth checking out Jonathan Adler's creations.

Menorah Candles
You can't have a stylish menorah without quality candles. While beeswax candles (like the ones from Zion Judaica, below) are among the most popular picks, nowadays, people enjoy switching up their candle colors and textures. For a shimmering take on classic white candles, check out Target's pearlescent Hanukkah candles. For more color, check out the blue, yellow or terracotta tapers from Via Maris or the dripless metallic candles from The Dreidel Company Store.
Hanukkah Serveware + Tabletop Buys
If you're looking for a challah board, we're obsessed with this chinoiserie tray from Spode. Meanwhile, to set the table in style, check out these Star of David mosaic plates from Williams Sonoma (the app size is perfect for latkes and sufganiyot) and platters and bowls from Pottery Barn. Another place to find great (and often affordable) Hanukkah serveware and table accessories? HomeGoods and HomeSense — though, those stores will require in-person browsing.
The Best Outdoor Decorations for Hanukkah
Celebrate the Festival of Lights with eye-catching decorations that illuminate your outdoors in classic blue and white.
Stylish Hanukkah Decor
Leave it to Ruggable to come up with the cutest and most durable outdoor Hanukkah doormat. Taking our focus inside the home, consider cozying up with one of Target's beautiful new sherpa-lined throw blankets. Meanwhile, if you want to drape your home in garland and party decor, Etsy has so many sellers to select from. We especially love the handmade felt designs from Etsy maker Sheep Farm Felt. Lastly, you can never go wrong with a deliciously scented candle to set the mood. The ones below from Homesick Candles and Glasshouse Candles are not only aromatic but pretty, too.
Hanukkah Gifts + Gift Wrap
Whether you're gifting gelt or more modern presents, we love a good gift wrap. These gifting sticker sheets from Modern Mitzvah are perfect for personalizing presents, and chocolate gelt is always a fun way to embellish gifts. For greeting cards, Rifle Paper Co. has a couple of pretty metallic designs that you can buy individually or in bulk.

Dreidels
Dreidels might be a relic of childhood, but they celebrate something so much bigger than nostalgic holiday memories. The spinning toys are inscribed with the Hebrew letters Nun, Gimel, Hey or Chai, and Shin — an acronym for Nes Gadol Hayah Sham, which translates to "a great miracle happened there" and references the miracle of the eight nights of Hanukkah. While many dreidel tabletop decorations and ornaments exist these days, we love the idea of working dreidels that can be gifted and/or double as decor that elicits the excitement of childhood. Check out a few of our favorites below.
