Inspired by Tradition
A ring of almond blossoms creates an enchanting Hanukkah centerpiece, with the lights reflected in the shallow pool of water. Judiaca artisan Amy Reichert's Water Blossom Menorah is tied to a Jewish tradition that the original temple menorah was made of gold, almond-blossom-shaped cups.
Art Nouveau
Artist Valerie Atkisson uses a tree of life motif for her menorahs, made of laser-cut steel and plated in oiled bronze, stainless steel or polished steel.
Flowers and Feathers
Artisans in Haiti use metal from old oil drums to craft the tropical landscape for this menorah. The Recycled Floral Menorah is reflective of Haitian art, which often uses bright colors and religious symbolism.
Branching Out
The branches of the Odelia Tree Menorah spread out over the table, with simple cups for the candles. The lacquered brass finish shows the natural details of branches.
Slanted Support
Recycled wood from fallen walnut trees in Pennsylvania are reused to create this gorgeous menorah, sold by The Jewish Museum. The copper elements add to the menorah's modern aesthetic.
Stylish Stand
The nickel-plated Manzanita Menorah, sold by West Elm, has a shiny finish and design that evokes nature.
On a Pedestal
Pomegranates are a symbol of eternity, fertility and plenty, says designer Michael Aram, who used the motif for one of his menorahs. The Pomegranate Menorah has gold-tone pomegranates on top of foliage finished in oxidized brass with a granite base.
Tree of Light
Sculptor Scott Nelles' nature-inspired decorative objects include the Tree of Life Menorah. He describes the cast bronze menorah as playful.
Blooms of Light
Tulips can be planted in the fall for spring blooms, but this menorah reminds us of their beauty during the winter months. The bouquet-like Pink Tulip Menorah is made of painted enamel over metal.
Silver and Brass
Display this affordable menorah, made by Biedermann and Sons, on a small table during Hanukkah. The silver menorah, which is 5.5 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide, comes with brass candle cups.
Modern Appeal
For an electric menorah option with some height, the limbs of this tree menorah stretch 14.5 inches from top to bottom.
