Dessert Hummus Is a Thing, and We're Fully on Board
Packed with protein and the perfect complement to fruit, this deliciously sweet dessert hummus is basically a health food, right? We're just going to keep telling ourselves that.

Traditionally the perfect blend of chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice and spices, hummus has long held a top spot as one of the people’s favorite spreads. And now, dessert hummus is ready for the spotlight, trading savory tahini and olive oil for a mouth-watering mix of maple syrup and vanilla. Just grab your favorite dippable snacks (graham cracker sticks, anyone?), and prepare to be delighted. YUM.

Ingredients for Hummus Base
- 16 oz. can chickpeas
- 1/4 cup cashews
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 Tbs. vanilla extract
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Cassidy Garcia
Blend chickpeas, cashews, syrup and vanilla in a food processor to create the perfect base for all three recipes. Then, for this easy variation, simply stir in one half cup of milk chocolate chips for a tasty treat that’s just about as close to raw cookie dough as you can get. Salty pretzels make the perfect dipper for this delectable treat.
Brownie Batter

I don’t know how to stress this enough: It really tastes like brownie batter! Starting with your base, add five tablespoons of cocoa powder, one half cup of milk chocolate chips and one fourth cup of milk (your preference), and blend until smooth. Grab a box of graham crackers and some juicy strawberries (or maybe just a spoon?). Now, forget everything you mom taught you about not eating brownie batter.
Snickerdoodle

It’s like fall in a bowl. Mix in two tablespoons of cinnamon and two tablespoons of brown sugar to your dessert hummus base for a delightfully tasty treat that pairs perfectly with apple slices. One taste, and you’ll be like, “Pumpkin spice who?’
