Materials Needed
- 14" straw wreath
- 7-ounce mega bulky yarn (3 different colors)
- scissors
- floral pins
- large pom-pom maker (optional)
Wrap Yarn
Creating a pom-pom is easy, whether you go "old school" and use your hand or opt to use a pom-pom maker. If you're using the pom-pom maker, open one side, then wrap the yarn tightly around edge (Image A), pull yarn through to the other side (Image B) and repeat on the other edge (Image C).

Cut + Tie Off Pom-Pom
Close the device, then snip yarn. Next, trim along the perimeter of the device (Image A). Tie off the middle of the pom-pom (Image B), then open the device. Otherwise you’ll have lots of pieces of yarn on the floor. After tying it off, open the device, pull it out (Image C), fluff it up and BOOM! You’ve made your first pom-pom. Repeat until you have at least two dozen of each color.

Secure Pom-Poms
Using floral pins, secure each pom-pom to the wreath (Image A). Use two pins per pom-pom — one on either side. It’s easier to push the pin into the sides than through the middle of the pom-pom where it’s super thick (Image B).
