How to Make a Duct Tape Easter Basket

Make an adorable Easter basket using decorative duct tape and our free printable basket template.

Materials Needed:

  • roll of colorful duct tape
  • X-acto knife or scissors

1. Cut Tape Strips

Cut a 9-inch square sheet of duct tape. Lay down five strips of tape upside down, slightly overlapping. Next, lay down five strips perpendicularly on the top — sticky side to sticky side.

2. Cut Basket Template

Print out the basket template, and lay it on top of the square sheet of tape. Cut out the basket template shape.

3. Fold to Create Sides

Fold and press sides and tabs indicated by dotted lines on the template, and tape the tabs to the opposite sides. Repeat folding and taping for all four sides.

4. Make Handle

Fold in half a length of duct tape, and secure it to the inside of the basket using a small rectangular piece of duct tape. Secure the handle to the opposite side with tape.
