The Best Blankets, Reviewed by HGTV Editors
These are the blankets we curl up with at the end of the day.

We all have a favorite blanket. That plush, go-to cuddler that we pick over every other blanket to curl up with at the end of the day, while napping on the weekends or during TV binge fests. And with winter in full force, you're probably spending even more one-on-one time with your plush companion. Looking to upgrade or add to your collection? This is without a doubt my favorite blanket in the world. I currently have two and give them as gifts whenever I can. They're incredibly soft and also incredibly stretchy, which is great because you can really get them over your feet and not have your toes freeze as you're watching all of Ozark in one sitting. My dog also loves it, which is why I had to get another one — and it washes really well and doesn't lose its softness over time (I've probably washed it 50 times, and while it looks slightly more loved than when I first got it, the difference is not really that noticeable). — Alida Nugent, Senior Commerce Content Strategist
When I'm curling up to watch a show, read or knit, I'm always reaching for my Cotton Napper weighted blanket from Bearaby. The extra weight instantly makes me feel cozier — sometimes too cozy because I often fall asleep while using it because I'm that relaxed. I've tried several weighted blankets, touted for reducing stress and anxiety through deep touch pressure, and Bearaby's are the best quality and most stylish ones out there. — Laura James, HGTV Editor
You would not believe how huge this blanket is. I'm not kidding! It's literally 10'-by-10' — or 100 square feet! — of plush, fluffy goodness. (It's actually larger than a king-sized blanket.) They joke and say "you can get lost in this blanket," but it's true — I have! The all-season microfiber is perfect for both summer afternoons and winter evenings, and it's super breathable so you won't wake up from your nap sweating. Since it's a blanket meant for sharing, I love that it seamlessly stretches across our massive sectional and covers everyone with ease. Plus, it would make the perfect foundation for a blanket fort (I'll have to try that one day). — Kayla Kitts, HGTV Managing Editor
When I need to get my sleep on, my Layla Weighted Blanket is my go-to. I like that it has two sides: a sleek cotton backside I tend to display folded on my bed and a plush side that feels especially luxurious and delivers that soft, enveloping coziness you want from your blankie. And I can honestly say when I use it I sleep much better. It's also super warm on bitterly cold nights. — Felicia Feaster, HGTV Managing Editor
I am always cold — like, always — and I have so many blankets on my couch it's silly. My kids always steal my Pottery Barn throw, which I love, so I always pull my weighted blanket off my bed to snuggle on the couch — which is also cozy. — Jennifer Cicatelli, Senior Manager of Commerce Analytics
This faux-fur throw by UGG stays out at all times, and it's the blanket my toddler requests when we're lounging on the sofa. The front is faux fur, while the back is made of micromink so it's SUPER warm and cozy. Its 50"-by-70" size is really only meant for one person, but we manage to squeeze underneath and share. — Kayla Kitts, HGTV Managing Editor
I tossed this blanket in my cart on Black Friday a few years ago only to find that my friend had also bought the same blanket that day! We lovingly referred to them as “the Target blankets.” It’s seen better days since then, but it’s still super soft and warm, and I refuse to get rid of it. — Jessica Yonker, HGTV Editor
I bought this blanket over 10 years ago, and it's still in great condition. One side is a super warm fleece, while the other is completely waterproof. I keep it in my car, and I can't tell you the number of times it's come in handy for an impromptu picnic or a rainy day camping. I also love it for use in my hammock since the waterproof side works well to keep the wind off. I was originally concerned it wouldn't hold up in the washer and dryer, but it still looks like new all these years later. I really can't recommend this blanket enough! — Keri Sanders, HGTV Editor
