A Margarita That Doubles as Dessert? Yes, Please

Sip your way to happiness with this smooth take on a summer classic. It is all the sweet, salty, tart goodness of a margarita with a creamy twist.

The Ingredients

  • margarita salt or coarse salt
  • 3/4 cup lime sherbet
  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce triple sec
  • 3-1/2 ounces lime soda
  • lime wedge, for garnish

The Instructions

Moisten the top of a medium float glass; it should hold about 10 to 12 ounces. (Tip: For more staying power, use a thin coat of corn syrup.) Dip the top of the glass in margarita salt or coarse salt.

Place the lime sherbet in the bottom of the glass. Add the tequila and triple sec. Slowly pour the lime soda over the sherbet to fill the glass. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge. Serve immediately.
