'Home Town' Homeowner Profiles: Kristen and Kelvin Robinson
Home Town host Erin Napier likes to get a little background and personal history on her clients and families before renovation work begins — to help get a feel for the kind of design, features and aesthetic choices that might work best in their home. Here are a few insights provided by client Kristen Robinson, featured in the Home Town episode titled “A Town to Call Home”.

Erin: Tell me about your favorite childhood memory.
Kristen: My sister and I would spend weekends with my Aunt Louise. She has a sweet tooth so we would bake and eat late at night. I thought this was such a treat because my mom would burn everything she put in the oven. While we waited on our teacakes or caramel cake, we would sew. She is the reason baking and sewing are special to me.
Erin: Tell us about each person who will be living in this house. What do you love to do? What are you each passionate about?
Kristen: Kelvin loves hunting, shooting and camping with the boys. He is also a history buff -- specifically African and military history. Kelvin is passionate about serving his country.
I love to bake, sew and monogram anything that’s not bolted down. I find joy in learning new things. I'm a visual learner so if I see it once, I'll most likely be able to do it and do it better. I am passionate about my children's education. My life here on this earth means nothing if Idon't leave behind God fearing, educated, culturally conscious children to carry on our legacy.
Kelvin II, our oldest son, loves reading, shooting, swimming, camping and playing video games. Since Kelvin and I hate video games, he has decided to focus all of his extra time on developing his leadership and interpersonal skills while pursuing the rank of Eagle Scout.
Christian, our middle child, loves camping, swimming and reading. Christian is passionate about always being right but more importantly, someday becoming a Boy Scout like his big brother. He currently holds the rank of Wolf in Cub Scouts.
Kirstin, our baby girl whom we also call Anna, loves everything! She thinks I am the best thinsince sliced bread so she is ALWAYS helping me. Praise God for sending me a helper! Anna is passionate about her books; she is a beginner but always asks me to buy her chapter books sohe can read them when she gets better at sounding out the big words.
