Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young Are Officially Engaged!
After spending a romantic couple of days at a resort on Catalina Island, Tarek El Moussa surprised Heather Rae Young with the dreamiest proposal.

Happy Sunday to everyone but ESPECIALLY to the newly engaged couple, Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young! Early this morning, Tarek and Heather both took to Instagram to share the exciting news with short but sweet captions and a gorgeous photo.

Under the guise of celebrating their 1-year dating anniversary, Tarek whisked Heather off to a resort on California’s Catalina Island. From intimate dinners to relaxing spa treatments, the weekend was incredibly romantic as it was. But Tarek took it a step further Saturday night when he asked Heather to marry him. Thinking she was meeting Tarek for dinner, Heather arrived to what sounds like a picture-perfect proposal. According to PEOPLE, there was a candle-lit path, kissing palm trees, a flower arrangement of over 5,000 stems in Heather’s favorite colors and of course, an 8-carat emerald-cut diamond ring. Tarek told PEOPLE, “The diamond is perfect all the way around, just like Heather.”

“I’m SO SO SO insanely happy,” said Heather in the comments of her Instagram post.
Tarek and Heather first met on the fourth of July in 2019. It just so happened they were in the same place at the same time and had mutual friends there to introduce them. Not to mention, they’re both realtors — so, sounds like fate if you ask us! “The second our eyes connected and we smiled at each other I knew my life would never be the same,” Tarek recently said of the day he met Heather. By early August 2019, the couple officially confirmed their relationship, and in April 2020 the two purchased their first home together in Newport Beach, California. Earlier this week, they celebrated their 1-year anniversary with a candle-lit dinner on the water. In honor of their 1-year, Heather shared a series of photos from their relationship, along with some sweet words for Tarek. “You are my very best friend in the whole world. The man I look up to, admire, adore, best daddy, best heart, kind & most important loyal and honest,” wrote Heather. She also wrote, “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.” Three days later they’re engaged, and we could not be happier for them!
