HGTV Gifts Fans With 2 New Christmas Movies
The festive flicks feature some of our favorite HGTV stars. We have all the details.

Your holiday wishes just came true. Starting in December, fans can watch HGTV's new Holiday movies — not just streaming on discovery+ — but on television, too. A Christmas Open House, featuring Ben and Erin Napier, will premiere on HGTV Wednesday December 7 at 10/9c. Designing Christmas, featuring Hilary Farr, will premiere on HGTV Wednesday December 14 at 10/9c.

Perhaps our favorite present this holiday season: HGTV is gifting us with not just one, but two (!) festive movies dropping on discovery+ beginning Friday, November 11. The best part? They feature longtime HGTV stars (drumroll, please): Home Town’s Ben and Erin Napier and Love It or List It co-host Hilary Farr. With sparkling seasonal decor, yuletide culinary delights and budding romances, the films, with their home improvement storylines, were created to appeal to HGTV fans who love holiday content.

The Plot: A Christmas Open House

This flick follows the story of Atlanta property stager Melissa Norwood (Katie Stevens) as she teams up with her old high school crush, real estate agent David Phelps (Victor Rasuk), and local artists Henry and Sarah Wright (Ben and Erin Napier) to prepare and sell her mom’s home before the holidays. As the tensions of the Christmas deadline grow, so does a romance between Melissa and David, but their diverging goals could be a deal breaker for their new relationship. Directed by Emily Moss Wilson from a screenplay by Brian Turner and Garrett Frawley and Wilson, A Christmas Open House is produced by MarVista Entertainment in association with Reflecting Pool Productions Inc. The Plot: Designing Christmas
Interior designer Stella (Jessica Szohr) and contractor Pablo (Marco Grazzini) have charmed millions as co-hosts of their popular home renovation show. Although Stella is planning her wedding with fiancé Jack (Mykee Selkin), a last-minute production change means that she and Pablo must work overtime to keep their hit show on schedule. Stella confides in her mentor Freddy (Hilary Farr) about her complicated feelings for Pablo, which could jeopardize everything. Directed by Pat Mills from a screenplay by Michael J. Murray, Designing Christmas is produced by MarVista.
