Kids Will Be Obsessed With Brooklinen's Sesame Street-Themed Sheets

Brooklinen is an HGTV editor-favorite brand for their swoon-worthy bedding and bath essentials. If Brooklinen sheets aren't already on your bed, you've definitely seen their modern colors and fresh designs on your Instagram feed.

This year, Brooklinen teamed up with Sesame Street to bring a little more joy to bedtime with their latest collab featuring iconic characters from the classic television show. You can bring the world of Sesame Street to your child's bedroom with a collection of more than 10 themed bedding and bath items in colorful designs. We snagged the adorable Park Day core sheet set from this collection to see if they were the right mix of fun and function.

Tested by Michelle Buffardi

How We Tested

We enlisted the help of a four-year-old Sesame Street fan, the son of one of our editors, to test these sheets over several weeks. We evaluated the sheets' appearance, noting the vibrancy and clarity of the Sesame Street prints. The set includes one flat sheet, one fitted sheet and up to two pillowcases depending on bed size.

The sheets are available from twin to queen size in three different patterns; there is also a toddler variety. We tested the twin size on a floor bed mattress slightly smaller than a standard twin, to check ease of fitting and overall fit. We had our mini-helper sleep on the set for multiple nights and noted his comfort while assessing the sheets on softness, temperature and weight. After multiple washes, we observed how they held up in terms of pilling, fading and overall durability.

What We Liked About the Core Sheet Set

We love the design and feel of the Brooklinen Sesame Street sheet set. The sheets came in three fun-filled designs inspired by the show; we tested the Park Day design. The set's soft muted colors were perfect for bedtime and the scenes of classic characters were a hit with our four-year-old tester (especially the one of Cookie Monster eating ice cream.) The illustrations added a creative element to bedtime by doubling as inspiration for bedtime stories and songs.

Our helper loved how cool, comfy and soft these sheets are, unlike others that feel starchy or rough. Made of breathable 100 percent cotton percale fabric, they maintain their weightless feel and the graphics keep their color even after multiple washes. The sheets were easy to put on with the help of tags marking short and long sides. We tested these sheets on a floor mattress slightly smaller than a twin bed, and the sheets still fit well with a little extra room. We love that the set combines the quality parents want with the characters kids adore.

What We Didn't Like About the Core Sheet Set

The Sesame Street X Brooklinen Core Sheet Set is a little pricy, with a list price starting at $149 for the smallest size. It's a bit of a splurge considering your child's Elmo obsession is likely to wear off before you get all the value out of this set. Also, the twin and twin XL sheet sizes come with only one pillowcase, and at this price point, we wish it came with two like the full and queen sizes.

Who Should Buy This Set?

There's a lot to love about the Brooklinen X Sesame Street Core Sheet Set. For parents looking to add a touch of nostalgia and fun to their child's bedroom, these sheets are a winner. The playful designs and high-quality fabric make them a great choice for younger children who love the classic characters — but know they may outgrow the design in a few years. Parents creating a themed room or nursery can make it complete with all the bedding and bath essentials from this collab. If you are willing to invest in a quality set (that is also super cute!) and your child is a Sesame Street super fan, this limited edition collection from Brooklinen is worth considering.
