How to Make Fiesta-Style Table Linens

Materials Needed:
- 2 yards colorful, festive fabric or authentic Mexican linens
- 19x20" piece of colorful, festive fabric for tea towels
- 19x12" piece of colorful, festive fabric for napkins
- 2 yards backing fabric
- 3 yards colorful pom-pom trim
- measuring tape
- straight pins
- scissors
- thread
- sewing machine
Cut Fabric and Backing
To make the table runner, cut an 18"-wide panel from both the 2 yards of festive and backing fabric. Depending on the size of your table, you may need to shorten the length based on preference. For tea towels, cut a 19x20" piece of fabric. For napkins, cut a 19x12" piece.

Pin Fabric Together
Layer the panels on top of each other, fold edges inward and pin 1/4-1/2" on all sides of both panels. Make sure pins remain on the outside for easy removal. To make the corners of the tea towels and napkins, create an envelope fold and tuck 1/4-1/2" of the material inside. Pin into place.

Add Pom-Pom Trim
Sandwich pom-pom trim between these folded seams, and pin all three layers into place.

Sew Fabric Together
Sew around the edges making sure all layers are even.
