As for this next chapter in the life of Home Town, the new-season announcement is just part of the story. As we reported earlier, aside from the regular series, Erin and Ben are set to embark on a massive on-the-road adventure titled Home Town Takeover. In the six-episode special-event series, also slated to air on HGTV in 2021, the couple leads a team of renovation pros as they takeover and makeover an entire small town. Progress has hit some delays due to a certain global pandemic, but things are happening. Expect more news on that front later this summer. Keep checking back at 'Home Town Central' for updates on the spinoff series, and expect a dedicated show-page coming soon to HGTV.com.

Back to the story at hand: Home Town proper. As fans know, the series showcases Ben and Erin’s artistic vision and genuine passion for restoration. The couple and their crew of associates made up of local craftspeople transform worn properties into treasured homes for families — and welcome newcomers to small-town life in the rural South. The series continues to be one of HGTV’s greatest-ever success stories, with the current season attracting upwards of 30-million viewers. In the landscape of cable television, that’s (to use the industry jargon) a whopping-big audience. Hard-core fans can catch Home Town marathons currently running on HGTV every Monday.

Moreover, the world of Ben and Erin extends well beyond traditional cable, with two exclusive HGTV digital series: Erin’spired, featuring behind-the-design insights from Erin and her decorating/design assistants, and Talkin' Shop, featuring DIY and woodworking projects a la Ben. Those, along with Home Town full episodes are available on HGTV.com as well as a variety of digital platforms — including HGTV GO where fans can watch episodes from past seasons as well as new episodes on the same day and time as the TV premieres.

Still want more? You got it. The HGTV website routinely features extensive and detailed photo galleries of each individual Home Town renovation (here’s the latest), feature articles and exclusive short-form and highlight videos. Not to mention HGTV’s ongoing coverage of the show across social media as well as Erin and Ben’s popular personal Insta accounts, currently boasting combined followings approaching a million fans. Then, over at Erin and Ben's own Laurel Mercantile, there's Erin’s online daily journal, Ben’s woodworking-centric mini-site Scotsman Co. and well, you get the idea. If you're feeling so inclined, you can positively immerse yourself in a virtual Home Town world. Trust us, it's not a bad place to be.

Can’t wait that long? We feel your pain. Here’s something to help ease your longings. Jones and his wife Nancy. After the home was destroyed by a tornado, Ben and Erin repair the damage and reimagine the entire home.
