Chip and Joanna Gaines are taking on Colorado — to build their dream vacation home. The design and building experts will star in Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House, which will premiere on HGTV and Magnolia Network Tuesday, December 9 at 9|8c. The three-part special marks the couple's first-ever Fixer Upper project outside their home state of Texas.
What Is Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House About?
Chip and Jo will tackle the renovation of a 1960s mountain property laden with the unique design and construction hurdles that come with high-altitude living. Together, they'll blend original midcentury details with European-inspired finishes, transforming the home into their own timeless family retreat nestled in the Rockies.
“Colorado has come to be a special place for our family,” says Joanna. “Somewhere in between ski trips and spring breaks over the last decade, a dream took root to one day carve out a place of our own … and we can’t wait to share it with you.”
Over three 60-minute episodes, we'll get to watch the Gaineses navigate the ups and downs of creating a home ideal for multigenerational family gatherings, surprise visits from local wildlife, uncovering unique architectural details and more.
