Make an Industrial-Style Pipe Bench

Materials and Tools:
- 2x12" board cut down to 6'
- tape measure
- circular saw
- goggles
- carpenter's square
- paintbrush
- drill with 1" screws
- palm sander with 220-grit paper
- dark walnut stain
- polyurethane
- 16 10" pre-threaded black galvanized pipes
- 8 pre-threaded black galvanized pipe elbows
- 4 pre-threaded black galvanized pipe T-joints
- 4 metal end caps
- 8 pipe straps
Instructions:
Measure and cut the board to 6 feet. Draw a straight line across the board using a carpenter's square.

Sand all sides of the board using 220-grit sandpaper, and round the corners for a finished look. Apply dark walnut stain with a paintbrush to enhance the grain and wipe excess stain with a clean rag. Allow time to dry. Apply polyurethane, and allow time to dry.

Connect two 10-inch pipes to the T-joint and three 10-inch pipes to another T-joint. Add an elbow joint at each end, and connect both pieces together with two 10-inch pipes. Add metal caps to the last two ends, and repeat for the second set of legs.

Make an industrial-style bench using only two materials - galvanized pipes and a wood board.
Attach legs to the bottom of the bench using pipe straps, a drill and 1-inch screws. Flip over, and enjoy.
