Kids' Craft: Biggest Fan Valentine

Nothing sends a heartwarming message to loved ones like a handmade valentine. This year, show the object of your affection that you're their "biggest fan" with this clever, easy-to-make card.

Materials Needed:

  • four 3-inch-wide paper hearts
  • small hole punch
  • red and white baker's twine
  • small gold brad
  • two rhinestones
  • school glue
  • scissors

Punch Center Holes

Punch hole in center of three hearts.

Punch Bottom Holes

Punch hole at bottom of all four hearts.

Prepare Border

In heart without center hole, punch holes around perimeter.

Weave Twine

Weave twine through border holes, excluding bottom hole. Tie and fasten twine in back of paper heart.

Fasten Brad

Stack all four paper hearts, with bordered heart on top. Insert brad in bottom holes, binding all hearts.

Thread Twine

Secure Twine

Fan hearts out to desired extent. On back of back heart, glue rhinestone to secure twine, and cut off excess. On back of front heart, glue rhinestone to secure opposite loose end of twine, and cut off excess.
