What does a baby diaper, snow sled and fitted sheet all have in common? Believe it or not, these random items are very useful when spending the day at the beach. Snow Sled

Put your sled to good use in the offseason by piling large objects on top and dragging it along the sand. From coolers to chairs, transport everything you need with ease.

Dig a large, shallow pool in the sand making sure to form a mound all around the edges. Drape the shower curtain on top and cover the edges with sand to hold it in place. Fill with water from the ocean and dip your feet in to stay cool.
Plastic Jar

An empty plastic jar can be used for a variety of things but there’s one hack we find particularly handy. Simply set the jar in the sand so it won’t move and then put your plastic water bottle inside. Now, you can reach for a drink without the bottle being covered in sand.
Diaper

We all know what baby diapers are for and that's why this idea works so well. Bring an unused diaper with you and stash your cash and car keys inside while you ride the waves. It’s unlikely someone will reach for the rolled-up diaper under your chair.
Fitted Sheet

You may not know how to fold one of these but fitted sheets are ideal for the beach. Spread one out and pin down the edges with chairs, toys and a cooler. This creates a walled barrier and helps to keep you sand-free.
Socks (and Baby Powder)

Flip-flops might be your footwear of choice at the beach, but socks can help make sand removal a cinch. Bring a pair with you and fill them up with baby powder. Close off the opening with a knot and rub the sock on your arms and legs and watch as the sand falls off.
Collapsible Laundry Hamper

Avoid bringing sand home with you from the beach by using a collapsible laundry hamper. Squeeze in as many toys as you can and then shake the hamper repeatedly. The sand will fall to the ground while your toys remain in place and ready to be carried back to the car.
