Nate Berkus Added New Colorways to His Collection With Rugs USA, and We Couldn’t Be More Excited
The former HGTV star is building on his original designs with the rug company, particularly with a warm neutral color palette.
Nate Berkus, the renowned and celebrated interior designer, has created award-winning interiors for his clients while also having his own show on HGTV called The Nate and Jeremiah Home Project. And, he’s got several collaborations with interior design brands, including Rugs USA.
The Nate Berkus x Rugs USA collection has been around for a while, but it just got a fresh update — while the designs of the rugs remain the same, some new colorways have been added. From beige to green to red or golden brown, these warmer-toned rugs are richer and great for a space you want to make more expansive.
You may have seen the popular Downing Plaid rug or the Serge Bordered Rug online, but imagine how timeless they would look on your living room floor in a warm neutral color. You don’t have to dream about that anymore — keep scrolling to find out what these classic rugs will look like in Berkus’ reimagined colorways.
How rich will this rug make your space look? If you’re not sure whether a pop of color will make or break a room, a deep red option is a great splash without being overtly bright. With its classic plaid design and wine-red color, you can easily elevate your neutral decor and add some texture through your rug.
You may have seen this rug in its tan iteration. It may look pretty similar, but there are some key differences between the tan and the beige version. For one, the outer border turns into a dark brownish red, adding a certain warmth that the greenish brown lacks. It’s all about preference, but we see why this new color is selling out quickly.
Compared to the Serge Bordered Rug, this new colorway of the Yves Bordered Rug seems like the exact opposite of its fan-favorite ivory shade. It’s almost like the dark and light colors flip from the border to the body in this darker iteration, and we’re not mad about that.
This rug may look simple from far away, but the closer you get to it, the more textured you notice it truly is. Plus, sometimes less is more, and in the case of this rug, versatility is a big plus. Get one in a navy blue color, and you can pair it with both light and dark furniture depending on your vibe.
If a plain rug isn’t your thing, opt for one with a simplistic design like the Ondine Rug. The wavy swoop on either side adds just a splash of texture to the room. Plus, this beige colorway also adds appealing contrast with the darker brown on the borders.
Sage green is another neutral color that isn’t your basic beige or brown, so you can experiment and play with this sage-colored rug in a way that won’t have you running to change every other furniture piece. We especially love how it takes on a grayer hue in certain lightings, so the ambiance can change throughout the time of day without moving a thing.
