MacKenzie Childs

It’s no secret we love MacKenzie-Childs here at HGTV. The home decor brand is known for patterned designs that are equal parts adorable and chic. Now, the brand is introducing a limited-edition collection in partnership with fine-art photographer Gray Malin. The new line brings a “dreamy, winter escape” theme to MacKenzie-Childs’ instantly recognizable checkerboard motif. It’s available starting today — and we want to snag every item.

What does the new MacKenzie-Childs x Gray Malin collection look like?

The latest seasonal collection features a snowy, sky-blue take on the décor brand’s signature checkered designs. It intermixes them with charming images of skiers (and their winter-long shadows) inspired by Malin’s aerial photography.

“The dreamy blues and frosted whites echo the serene elegance of mountain peaks viewed from above, with the added whimsically playful touch of skiers enjoying the thrill of the slopes,” a MacKenzie-Childs spokesperson tells HGTV via email.

Malin calls the collaboration a “natural extension” of his “artistic world,” adding that he and the MacKenzie-Childs brand share a “sense of playfulness, craftsmanship and storytelling.”

“For this collection, I drew inspiration from my photography of snow-covered destinations. The cool tones and alpine scenes bring a fresh perspective to the iconic check,” Malin says.

What items are in the MacKenzie-Childs x Gray Malin collection?

The “thoughtfully designed,” “wintry wonder”-inspired collection includes 15 pieces of serveware, dinnerware and home accessories. With prices starting at $69, elements include attractive serving platters, a picture frame, a checkered throw blanket and glassware. We especially like the idea of sipping hot cocoa out of the collection’s cheerful mugs.

The brand says the collection is “perfect for picturesque winter gatherings and brings alpine charm to any space or tablescape.”
