Home Depot Has Dropped Its 2026 Christmas in July Collection

Ho ho ... ho boy, it seems awfully early to contemplate the winter holidays. Regardless, The Home Depot has unveiled its annual Christmas in July Collection.

The high-demand early-release holiday collection features new limited-edition decor, returning popular items and what the brand says promise to be “this season’s must-have holiday pieces.”

The pieces in the annual collection, generally available online, often sell out quickly. So, advance planners, those who think about the holidays all year ’round and anyone else who likes to get a jump on a coveted item may well want to take note.

9-foot SMART Grand Duchess Twinkling Balsam Fir Slim LED Pre-Lit Tree: Home Depot’s 9-foot Grand Duchess artificial Christmas tree from Home Decorators Collection is now enabled with the Hubspace app, which allows you to control the schedule, brightness and other settings using your phone or with voice control through Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also sync it with other SMART Grand Duchess products. The tree also boasts “realistic evergreen branches with 3,343 branch tips, a slim shape and 2,000 color-changing micro fairy LED lights,” which stay lit even if one bulb goes out. It also features “Quick Set technology that allows easy assembly and electrical connectivity by integrating the power cord into the trunk of the tree”; “memory wire branches” that “make fluffing your tree a breeze”; and a foot pedal that turns the tree on and off, a remote control with a timer and a metal stand. Home Depot calls it the “centerpiece of the season.”’

8.5-Foot Giant-Sized LED Towering Santa: This year, Home Depot’s fan-favorite LED, indoor/outdoor Santa is back — and he’s taller than ever. The extra-tall Mr. Claus figure carries an illuminated lantern offering a “realistic flickering flame effect” and featuring a built-in timer. This Santa is built for stability and “maximum visual impact” — cord-free and battery powered (three AA batteries required). Home Depot says it can be assembled by one person in 45 minutes and is meant to pair with the collection’s 8-Foot Santa's Sleigh and 8.5-Foot Towering Reindeer for a full, festive lawn.

7.5-Foot Animated Chewbacca: Chewie is back. This Santa-hat-wearing, candy-cane-clutching, satchel-strapped, indoor-use-only, motion-sensor-activated figure “comes to life with 3 movements” — head, mouth and candy-cane-wielding arm — and “5 classic Chewbacca sound effects,” the brand says. The “servo motor technology” allows for “smooth, lifelike movements that will leave your guests in awe.” With an estimated one-person, half-hour assembly and an included plug-in power adapter, this Star Wars figure is designed to pair with the collection’s (alas, currently out-of-stock) 3.5 ft. Animated LED R2-D2.
