Lamb-Shaped Cookie Recipe
Use cereal marshmallows to turn chocolate sandwich cookies into fluffy little lambs!
- 1 ounce gray ready-made fondant
- 12 ounces white candy melts
- (6) cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies
- 2 cups dehydrated marshmallow bits
- black food color pen
- (6) mini royal icing flowers
Find food color pens, fondant and royal icing flowers in the baking aisle at your local craft store.
1: Roll the fondant flat on a sheet of parchment paper. Use a 1.5-inch round fondant cutter (or bottle cap) to cut six rounds from the fondant. Set aside to dry for 15 minutes.
2: Heat the candy in the microwave at 30-second intervals until the candy can be stirred smooth. Pour the marshmallow bits into a large bowl. Dip each cookie into the candy and lift using a fork. While the dipped cookie is on the fork, add a gray fondant circle to the center (Image 1). Place the dipped cookie into the bowl of marshmallows. Use a spoon to completely cover the cookie with marshmallows (Image 2). Remove, and place the cookies on a sheet of parchment paper to dry (Image 3).
3: When the cookies are dry, use the food color marker to draw faces on the gray fondant circles (Image 1). Use leftover melted candy to attach royal icing flowers (Image 2). Let sit until dry, about 10 minutes.
