Tools and Materials
- 12" foam wreath form
- faux black roses
- foam glue
- (2) 16" posable skeleton
- black chalk paint
- wired black and pink ribbon
- pink heart sticker
- scissors
- hot-glue gun + glue sticks
1. Paint the Wreath Form
To create your lovely skeleton rose wreath, paint the back of a 12” foam wreath form black to match the roses.
2. Adhere Roses in Rows
It’s best to add the roses in rows, starting on the inside of the wreath and working your way out. Use foam glue; apply it to the back of the rose, then press it onto the wreath. You may have to go back and press down again to make sure they hold onto the wreath. Allow the first row to dry for several hours before moving on to the next.
3. Continue the Roses
Add a thin ribbon to the top of the wreath for hanging. Continue gluing on the roses in rows, allowing time for the glue to dry in between. You may find it easier on the last two rows to alternate the placement of the roses until you have the wreath filled in. Allow the wreath to dry overnight.
4. Pose the Lovers
Place the skeletons with their arms around each other in an embrace. Secure them in the middle as best as possible. Add spots of hot glue where they meet the roses.
5. Add Finishing Touches
Finish the wreath by gluing a double black bow followed by a same-size pink bow on top of the black bow. Finally, add a heart to one of the skeletons to symbolize love's endurance.
