Make a Mini Pumpkin Wreath for Fall

Materials Needed:
- 12" foam wreath form
- 7-8 cups dried putka pods
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- scissors
- ribbon
Apply Putka Pods
Preheat hot glue gun. Apply a small dab of hot glue to foam wreath (Image 1). Immediately press a dried putka pod into hot glue and hold into place until glue cools (Image 2). Repeat until entire front and sides of wreath are covered, arranging pods as close together as possible (Images 3 and 4). The back side of the wreath can remain uncovered unless wreath is going to be hung in front of a mirror (Image 5). Note: Some of the wreath form will still be visible through the pods at this point.

Add Second Layer of Pods
Place a small dab of hot glue on underside of a pod and press it into a place on the wreath where form is showing through (Images 1 and 2). Continue to apply pods to fill gaps until wreath form is no longer visible (Images 3 and 4). Tip: Step back from wreath a few times during this step to make sure second layer of pods is evenly applied.

Clean Wreath and Hang With Ribbon
Once all pods are glued in place, use your fingers to gently remove any strings left by hot glue (Image 1). Loop a wide ribbon around completed wreath to hang indoors or out. Tip: This simple, rustic wreath would also make a beautiful candle ring for a fall centerpiece or you could make miniature wreaths to hold tea lights.
