All the Details on HGTV's 'Rico to the Rescue' Season 2
Rico León, host of HGTV's Rico to the Rescue, is coming back to HGTV in January 2024.
UPDATE: DECEMBER 13, 2023
Rico is here to rescue us from the January blues. Season 2 of Rico to the Rescue premieres Wednesday, January 24 at 9|8c — and will be available to stream on Max the same day and time.
This season, builder Rico León will continue helping Denver homeowners salvage renovations that have gone off the rails. Driven by his parents’ past experience with a crooked contractor, Rico is an advocate for desperate families who need an empathetic expert to fix their stressful situations. During the nine-episode run, he and his team will tour the house to assess the projects, work to resolve issues with the builder and create a renovation and design plan to turn the construction nightmare into a dream home.
In the first episode, Rico meets homeowners Brock and Zhanna, a couple whose contractor took more than $100,000 to start their home renovation but never finished. After taking a look at the tarped roof and exposed framing left by the builder, Rico and his team will determine how best to complete the job that will give the family of four the added living space, bedroom and bathroom they’ve wanted for more than two years.

MARCH 1, 2023
HGTV has picked up eight new episodes of Rico to the Rescue — where builder Rico León and his team, designer Poonam Moore and chief estimator Matt Plowman, help Denver homeowners resolve issues with previous contractors and salvage their renovations.
The new season is slated to air in early 2024.
“I’m proud of my Puerto Rican heritage and the strong family I grew up in,” says Rico. “I’ve already realized my dream to help homeowners, and now I get to showcase this important work on HGTV. I can't wait to get started on a new season of Rico to the Rescue.”
