Restored by the Fords: From Classic Craftsman to Cool Craftsman
If anyone knows cool, it's Leanne and Steve Ford.

On the Season 2 premiere of Restored by the Fords, the brother-sister duo updated Laura and Ben's craftsman home. This project was especially important to the Fords, because Leanne grew up with Laura — they even played on the same lacrosse team!
Laura & Ben's Craftsman Home
Living Room, Before
The original living room with its outdated fireplace completely blocked off all of the natural light coming in through the den behind it.
Living Room, After
When Leanne and Steve went to open up the walls, they found brick. In what Leanne referred to as a 'power move', they reduced the fireplace down to brick and completely opened up the space, allowing natural light from the den to pour in.
Den, After
This den was hiding behind the fireplace all along, it just needed a little love from Leanne and Steve!
Living Room and Dining Room, Before
The original archway leading into the dining room of the home.
Living Room, After
Another angle of the new and improved living room!
Dining Room, Before
The original dining room featuring wallpaper trim, a stained glass window, and a dated chandelier.
Dining Room, After
Teal? In a Leanne Ford design? Just wait until you see the kitchen!
Kitchen, Before
The original small kitchen.

Kitchen, After
With a little wall removal, the kitchen feels much bigger and now flows seamlessly into the dining area.

Teal definitely isn't Leanne's go-to color for the kitchen — or anywhere for that matter. She recently revealed on Instagram that the client requested the color so they made it work! And indeed it works well! See Leanne's Instagram for more on this project.
